A film by Olivier Comte
Year of production: 2022
Duration: 52 min.
Located in the heart of the Meuse region, the Vent des Forêts cultural association is home to a hundred works by international artists spread over 45 kilometers of forest trails. Olivier Comte‘s film retraces this adventure, which began in 1997, an unlikely meeting between two worlds that everything opposes: rurality and contemporary art. The artists, hosted in the homes of local residents, work with local artisans. This collective experience, unique in France, has recently become a center of contemporary art of national interest, allowing art to dialogue with a unique heritage–the forest–while questioning our relationship with
nature.
With the artists Anna Coulet, François Davin, Marin Kasimir, Alexander Lee, Erik Nussbicker, Charlotte Pringuey-Cessac, Pier Sparta, Noel Varoqui and Jean-Luc Verna.
